Rovia expands management team – meet Robert Roughan

Rovia is pleased to announce an exciting addition to its management team. Robert Roughan has been appointed as a new Director and will be central to our growth in the South West, being based in Bristol and having significant experience in the region.

Robert has 15 years’ experience working in development and transport planning. He has advised clients on a number of high-profile schemes, including significant residential, retail and commercial developments. More recently, Robert has been involved in a number of large-scale solar projects, including five Development Consent Order (DCO) applications. As part of this intensive process, he provided client representation at public meetings, officer and Councillor briefings and issue specific public hearings.

“We are thrilled to welcome Robert to our team,” said Rovia Director Anthony Tugwell.

“It’s been eight years since I have personally worked with Robert, and I am very pleased to be reunited at Rovia.

“In his new role, Robert will be responsible for growing our business across all land uses including the rapidly growing energy and renewables sector. Although our team works on projects across the entire country, Robert brings invaluable local experience and knowledge of the South West.”

On joining Rovia, Robert said: “After eight years I am delighted to be back working with a team of transport planning professionals I know and trust and who hold similar values to me.”
