Rovia expands management team – meet David Bird

Rovia is pleased to announce a significant addition to its management team. David Bird has been appointed as a Director and will play a central role in driving the company’s strategic initiatives, providing expert advice, and supporting the team with his unparalleled technical, business and industry knowledge.

David has 40 years’ experience in transport planning for development across all land uses, including mixed use, residential-led strategic land, logistics and energy sectors. He is a leading expert witness and has presented evidence at many Public Inquiries, Hearings, Local Plan EiPs, DCO Examinations, and the High Court. He is often appointed to undertake peer reviews for major projects, to bring a different perspective.

David has provided policy advice to various organisations and to central government. He was peer reviewer for the Sustainable Transport Guide for TCPA’s Garden City Standards for the 21st Century: Practical Guides for Creating Successful New Communities and provided advice on the transport elements of the first iteration of the NPPF.
