Rovia expands management team – meet Stephen Eyton

Rovia is delighted to announce the appointment of Stephen Eyton as a Director, strengthening our leadership team and supporting our continued growth, particularly within our London office.

With nearly 25 years of experience in transport planning, Stephen has advised a wide range of private sector clients on residential, retail, commercial, and mixed-use developments across the UK.

He is highly regarded for his expertise in tackling the complexities of urban development and for his collaborative approach to engaging with project teams, communities, and decision-makers. Stephen has also represented clients as an Expert Witness on multiple occasions.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Stephen to the Rovia team,” said Rovia Director David Bird.

“He brings a wealth of London and urban development experience, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of the industry. Having worked closely with Stephen for many years — from our days at Savell Bird and Axon to serving together on the Vectos Board — I know firsthand his ability to deliver successful outcomes on challenging sites and that his composed, pragmatic approach sets him apart.”

Stephen shared his enthusiasm about joining Rovia and reconnecting with former colleagues:

“I’m delighted to be rejoining old colleagues after spending the last seven months as the Senior Highways Development Control Officer at Barnet Council. During this time I have been working on major planning applications, providing pre-application advice, appearing at planning committee and developing strong relationships with senior highways and planning officers.

“While I enjoyed my time at Barnet, I’m very much ready to get back on the other side of the application process, helping our clients obtain planning consents for their schemes.

“I look forward to catching up with clients and co-consultants in the coming weeks. In the meantime, I’m always happy to offer informal advice on potential site opportunities – please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”
